HTA trains, coaches, and mentors healthcare professionals and people looking to enter the healthcare workforce. We build highly interactive cohorts who learn from their peers as well as from experts. Training includes job shadowing, mentoring, apprenticeships, certifications, and a variety of onboarding approaches.
We provide training in: Healthcare Career Fundamentals; Health IT, Analytics, and Leadership; Data Analytics and Informatics, and HIMSS Certification Bootcamps. In addition to training in technical skills, we provide team and leadership development through Leadership Coaching for groups and individuals.

Direct Care Workforce Innovation
Through funding from the MD DOL, HTA offers braided funding and workforce support services for workers and employers to meet community and patient healthcare needs. Through defined employer collaboratives and in the occupations of CNA/GNA, nursing assistant, and personal aides, we offer support for recruiting, training, certifications, OJT, supportive services, etc.
Career Pathways for Entry-Level Healthcare
Through funding from the MD DOL, HTA offers a variety of training and placement services to help worker credentials and meet employer needs in entry-level roles across administration, direct care and health technology occupations. Job placement opportunities have included large medical systems, healthcare agencies, adjacent community impact organizations.
Data Science & Youth Apprenticeship
Health Tech Alley is the employer sponsor of an approved program through the State Departments of Labor and Education. Participants explore Analytics and Data Science careers through achievement of an industry credential, completion of work-based learning activities and research projects, and delivery of services to small business and nonprofit customers.
Healthcare Fundamentals Training for Jobs
HTA partnered with Howard Community College and Pass IT On to train workers to fill high need roles in Health settings. This healthcare fundamentals and digital literacy training and certification program assists underemployed and unemployed workers gain knowledge in technology literacy, patient intake, active listening, teaming, and career success skills.
Assisting Vulnerable Populations with Jobs
Health Tech Alley helped graduating clients in substance use and behavioral health facilities with their post treatment workforce plans. On site at Helping Up Mission, Tru Healing, and New Life Recovery Centers, HTA partnered with Pass IT On, a technology training provider, and the University of Maryland Medical Center to build a pipeline of career services and job placement.
