Brief info
Dr. Arti Patel Varanasi is a co-founder of HTA. Her experience spans cancer research, advocacy, capacity building, public health, and project management. As President and CEO of Advancing Synergy, LLC, Arti is passionate about developing innovations that build stronger communities and enable all individuals to lead healthier and longer lives. She is interested in leveraging technology to address chronic disease and increase health equity.
Arti is a long-time advocate for improving training and opportunities for postdoctoral fellows and graduate students and is an active member of the health, entrepreneurial, and technology communities in the Washington, DC-Maryland-Virginia area. She is a lecturer in the Johns Hopkins University Biotechnology Master’s program, co-chairs the MIC Health Tech Innovators group with Robert, and currently chairs the Maryland Innovation Center Women in Tech group.
Arti received her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, MPH from the Johns Hopkins University, and is a graduate of the National Science Foundation-funded ACTiVATE® program for women technology entrepreneurs.
