Robert Zimmerman is a co-founder of HTA. He has developed health and human services information and risk management systems throughout the United States. As a Deloitte Partner, he served as regional project risk services and IT audit leader as well as a regional and national diversity leader. As an entrepreneur and business leader, his current focus is on developing innovative and efficient security and technology solutions for the healthcare industry.
He has supported over 250 community health centers to enhance their security and privacy culture and technology innovation. He is also a founder of the Health Technology Access Alliance that provides IT and Data Analytics education, training, and health IT access to underserved rural and urban communities. Robert and Arti worked together to develop a health IT and data analytics curriculum to help fill the technology skills gap in community health centers and community hospitals.
Realizing the shortage of women and minorities in technology fields, Robert is now partnering with organizations across the country to conduct health IT and analytics classes and workshops to provide participants with the fundamental health IT skills and knowledge required to drive change.
